Think of Stash as an ever-expandable cupboard to put things in you don’t use frequently. So seasonal clothes, sports gear, electronics, books, sentimental items – anything you can put away for a while to help free up space at home. Check out some of our ideas.
There are some items on the naughty list. Please avoid storing anything that will get you in trouble with the police or the powers that be. Our American friends at Area 51 will also get upset if you stash any aliens or defunct flying saucer parts. Sorry E.T. Things that go boom, like fireworks, or anything flammable should be avoided. Best not to store anything bushy, our sturdy boxes get in the way of photosynthesis. . For full details, please see our what can’t I stash page.

Lots. Our boxes are big so you can store plenty in them. As an example, we’ve stashed a pair of ski boots, two bulky winter jackets, four pairs of jeans, ten books, an old laptop, seven tops, a box of Christmas decorations, and a computer monitor for good measure. And there was some space to spare. Check out our videos showing box sizes.
Once you've packed your things in a box, pop on the lid, and secure by threading cable ties through the holes on each corner. We'll include enough cable ties when we deliver your boxes.

Yes, there’s a limit of 25kg per box. Rather than having to weigh each box, our rule of thumb is that if you can’t lift your box, then it’s too heavy. You’ll need to be able to carry your box to your downstairs front door to be collected. Take care when lifting your box, no one wants you to put your back out.
As many as you like but there’s a limit of three boxes per collection and return for £15 each way. This means you’ll need to order additional boxes and organise an extra collection if you need more than three boxes.
We take the security of your Stash seriously and our warehouse in Southwest London has CCTV with access limited to the Stash team only.
Your storage will be set up on a four-weekly recurring payment on a credit or debit card. We’ll process your first payment on the day your boxes are collected. Storage is £2.50 per week for each box stored including VAT. You’ll be able to see your details including the names of the boxes stored with us on your customer portal. We’ll refund the balance or amend your subsequent payment accordingly if you cancel or change the number of boxes stored.
If you are a new customer, your first 2 weeks of storage are on us so we won’t process payment during this time. After 2 weeks, you’ll move to a recurring payment.
You’ll be able to book a collection online by selecting a date and a two-hour slot when you’re at home. Up to three boxes can be collected at the same time.
